The two principals behind the KHLOARIS are…

1. A filmmaker, film programmer and educator who’s been involved with both  underground and independent film scenes and commercial TV in NYC for several years. He’s been a producer on projects involving Troma Pictures, Patti LaBelle, Amy Sedaris, Emeril Lagasse, Raekwon, Common, SFMoMA, Ballet at Lincoln Center, among many others. He programmed and hosted a successful outdoor summer screening series in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and created, programs and hosts the Color Giants Animation Expo. After running independent movie studios/soundstages in Brooklyn for over seven years, he’s recently been involved in creating cell phone experimental filmmaking classes with adults with autism and the formerly incarcerated.

2. An animator and post producer who has been operating in the New York City film community for several decades.  He has a diverse background in children’s programming, creating many interstitials and short films for Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., PBS Kids, Disney Education, Hearst, Weston Woods, Marvel and MTV. His motion-capture and interactive design work have been featured in video games by Bally’s, Rockstar Games, and Cabalas.  His recent work has been in documentary film and roller-coaster simulation.

Together, they’ve worked on film projects with established artists like: underground legend Nick Zedd, comix maverick Mike Diana, alternative cartoonist Dame Darcy, noisy rock figureheads Royal Trux, as well as working with radical young filmmakers like Dylan Mars Greenberg, Josafat Concepcion and Twiggs Gorie.

They’ve recently created an animated film for the Green New Deal with the Sunrise Movement and the Iowa CCI, as well as animated promos for Inwood Art Works and the Bushwick Film Festival. KHLOARIS live action and animated films have played the Sick’n’Wrong Film Festival, Film Maudit 2.0, the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, Film Maudit 2.0, Tromadance, the Druid Underground Film Festival, the Oak Cliff Film Festival and others.
