Holy Wound

“Holy Wound” (2021, 14:16, USA) is an experimental short horror film written and directed by Josafat Concepcion. It’s a witchcraft-positive bloody wilderness travelogue featuring Anita Moreno, Memory Willis, Alejandro Osorio and Sultana. A KHLOARIS Production with cinematography by Kyle Parsons, production design by Hazel Lee Santino and music by The Flushing Remonstrance. It was purposefully shot, sans permit, in some of the same northern Manhattan locations as some of Maya Deren’s works.

The film premiered in NYC at “An Evening of New Punk Psychotronic Cinema,” and has since been part of the artist Muffinhead’s inaugural ZTV Film Fest. For press or screening inquiries, please contact us at production@khloaris.com.

“Holy Wound” made its long-awaited world premiere as part of the headlining double feature at KHLOARIS’s own “An Evening of New Punk Psychotronic Cinema” in Brooklyn, NY, on Nov. 27, 2021.
